“Very disturbing”: Mirwaiz says harassment of Kashmiris outside J&K must stop | KNO

Srinagar, Dec 31 (KNO): Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Wednesday expressed anguish over reports of harassment of Kashmir’s outside Jammu and Kashmir, saying despite assurances such actions go unchecked and unpunished. In a post on X, Mirwaiz, per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that it is very disturbing and despite assurances by those at the helm, harassment of Kashmir’s continues unchecked and unpunished. “This must stop immediately. This is a basic human rights issue of safety, security and dignity which is the obligation of the rulers which they must fulfil,” he said. The remark comes after reports of alleged harassment of Kashmir shawl sellers and traders outside Jammu and Kashmir—(KNO)
